Candidate Training

Have you ever considered running in an election? Want to build up your skills? This is the course for you!

The NDDLC is hosting candidate training for the upcoming 2022 Municipal Elections.  The training is open to anyone considering running for office in this election, or even if you're working on building your skills for the future.

The training is taking place face-to-face in Nanaimo on Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 9:30am-3pm.  The cost is $50 and includes lunch.  For more information or to register, go to https://actionnetwork.org/ticketed_events/mid-island-candidate-training 

 

Endorsements Open

The NDDLC is now accepting applications for endorsement for the 2022 Municipal Election taking place on October 15, 2022.

If you are a progressive individual and are considering running for a city council, regional district board, or school board within the NDDLC region (north of the Malahat through Qualicum), contact the Labour Council at [email protected] to request an endorsement package.

Application deadline: Friday, June 17, 2022, by midnight

Note: Late applications will be considered until August 31, 2022; however, some endorsement opportunities may not be available after the original application deadline. Successful late applicants will be advised of any specific changes.
